About this product
Rice is the most specification-driven commodity we handle, and the one where getting the grade wrong is most expensive. Grain length, broken percentage, moisture and ageing all move landed value materially, so we quote against a written specification rather than a variety name alone.
On the basmati side, 1121 Sella is the volume export grade — parboiled, long grain, and the standard for Gulf buyers. 1121 Steam and Pusa Basmati serve buyers wanting a softer cooked texture. Aged basmati is available where the buyer's market pays for elongation on cooking.
Non-basmati covers Sona Masoori for South Indian and Southeast Asian markets, and IR64 as the general-purpose long grain. Both are supplied as raw, steam or parboiled. Milling, polishing and sortex cleaning are done to order, and every lot is checked for broken percentage and moisture before loading.
Please note that Indian non-basmati rice export is subject to government policy that changes periodically — we confirm current export eligibility at the time of quotation.
